Ercan Altuğ Yılmaz is a graduate of Yıldız Technical University, Mathematics Engineering. He worked on digital education technologies at Netron, Bilgeadam and Turkcell Academy for many years. He also implemented many award-winning, game-based and gamified educational projects in this process. Yılmaz, who organizes gamification events called Gamification Meetup and Gamification Hackathon, acts as a mentor at incubation centers such as Startershub, Workinton, KWORKS, Impact Hub and ITU Magnet. He gives trainings, seminars and consultancy on digitalization, digital education and communication systems, new generation motivation, game design, gamification, virtual reality and augmented reality. Yılmaz is the Turkey representative of GamFed International Gamification Federation, which includes world-renowned game designers and gamification experts. GWC16 Gamification World Congress Madrid, Gamification Europe Brighton UK, Gamicon New Orleans USA and Gamilearn Barcelona is the first and only person from Turkey to present by receiving invitations from gamification conferences. Yılmaz still teaches Game Design and Gamification at institutions such as Bahçeşehir University, Yeditepe University, Beykoz University and ITUSEM and BAUSEM.
